On the 20th of July there was a Connected Day with a number of workshops and a Brian Anan as the keynote speaker. Marcelle and I worked with the media team for the day. It was a privilege to work with this group of children. They were focused and really keen to learn from each other. At first they were a bit shy to approach teachers, but when they watched some of the clips they had taken, they realised that the teachers were more nervous than they were.
I was so impressed with the skills they all bought to the table. We had some iMovie experts, photographers, confident interviewers and with all these wonderful skills the group created this awesome movie of the day

What a cool experience for our students and so neat that Vardon kids could be involved! what happens with this footage now? is it something that could be shared with the staff/our students? does this build on the students knowledge of movie making? how does this help the culster?

Hi Elysia
DeleteIt does empower the group members to lead the learning around iMovie with their classes and peers. It has been uploaded to YouTube where it has had a few views, however I do think the time has passed for us to do anymore with it, apart from using it as a good example of movie making for classes. It would be neat to get the group together to work on another project. I'll look into that.
